Recently I've ordered new broadband. From my point of view it's just simple change of provider.. 13th Dec Vodafone installed my new broadband, but they've used new full fibre lines. At the same time they haven't cancelled my old broadband with TalkTalk which was connected through telephone line. Now Vodafone wants me to call TalkTalk and cancel it myself where i have to give 30 days notice (Vodafone could do it nearly instantly). So i will have to pay for another 30 days for two broadbands.. Not impressed with Vodafone at all !!

That unfortunately tends to happen when changing infrastructure. (FTTC to FTTP or cable)
The automatic cancelation is only on FTTC to FTTC suppliers.
Switching between networks
If you're switching to, or from, a fibre-to-the-premise or ‘full-fibre’ service or a provider that doesn’t use the Openreach network – such as Virgin Media’s cable service – you will need to stop your service with your current provider and start a new service with a new provider. You should contact both providers.
