Hi all,

I’ve recently become a new Vodafone broadband customer having joined two days ago.

I am aware that Vodafone state during the first ten days of switching, line speeds are still becoming stable, which is understandable. However, having purchased the superfast 2 package which projects speeds in my area of just above 40mbps, I am surprised to see my sync speed is fairly consistently at 1.8 mbps throughout the day.

As I say I am open to the possibility of internet drops and variability in the speed but I can’t imagine that the sync speed will all of a sudden jump from 1.8mbps to over 40mbps after the 10 day timeframe. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar or whether this is just a clear issue on my line etc. Thanks in advance for any replies!

What speeds did you have with your previous ISP. If you were also on FTTC with them the speeds should be similar.

Hey @sm2154 - Welcome! Glad to have you onboard 😁

You're right, within the first 10 days your speeds can fluctuate and your service can be intermittent. I would advise to give it the 10 day settling in period and then if your speeds still aren't where they should be, drop us a message on social media and we can look further into this for you.
