Could I use my existing router - a TP-LINK Archer VR600 - with Vodafone Essentials Broadband? This would require the broadband username and password from Vodafone, but what about the other settings? This includes VLAN, MER and connection type. Image attached. Thanks.

Thanks, that says broadband username, password, VLAN 101 and nothing else needed. This is important because I would like to retain the existing router and network setup (which is a bit complicated, I won't bore you with it 😁) I don't have FTTP, it is old fashioned copper wire.

@xond246Hope it works out. By the way, it's amazing what the search bar in this forum can do 😀

Lol. The question was specifically about Vodafone Essentials Broadband as there are different types of broadband on offer. Thanks for your help.

There is nothing different about Vodafone Essentials, from the other FTTC offerings, except the price, no price rises, no contract. Am I envious? About the broadband, yes, but not about the situation that entitles you to it.

And you leave the MER setting unchecked, it's pretty much specific to Sky broadband customers!

Broadband Essential is very low speed. They only guarantee 18.00Mbps when you complaint but when you sign up, they offer 38 Mbps. BT is the best in this scheme as they guarantee 36 Mbps and if you complaint, they upgrade you to 72Mpbs. You will never get real help from technical. Best use their original rourter because it is designed for fibre broadband. you will experience problem with landline
