Why would I want broadband and landline if Unlimited (5G) mobile broadband allows tethering?

As per question in title.

I'm assuming that:

- the Unlimited mobile broadband deal includes unlimited tethering.

- the Unlimited mobile broadband deal includes unlimited access to 5G, for the higher speeds, that the customer can use once they have a device that supports it, either at the start of the service or later on during the service term.

Hi @therobyouknow, if our customers are in an area that doesn't have 5G, they may find their home broadband has quicker speeds than using signal for broadband.

Depending on the winter weather in your local area, you might need to consider the chances of the nearest or only cell tower within range getting damaged or felled by extreme winds. This happened when I used to live in a coastal town some years ago now. The weather was so bad it seriously damaged the Vodafone mast and there was no signal for, if I remember correctly, just over 24 hours. I personally don't need internet connectivity but most people younger than 40 need a 24/7/365 connection. If you live in an area that suffers regular bad weather, especially in wintertime, home broadband might be something to consider.

Cell towers can suffer from poor performance from congestion. As more 5G devices come online this will be more likely.
