Slower speed with Asus Router, Why?

I hope someone who is using an Asus router on Vodafone Full Fibre can help.

I have noticed that using the Vodafone power Hub gives me better speed than using my own Asus RT-AX86U in its place, can anyone tell me why this might happen? It seems to be the upload speed that is worse affected, see screenshots of speedtests taken minutes apart, top is with the Vodafone Power Hub as the main-first router and the Asus router connected to it on the WAN port, the bottom image is with the Vodafone router removed and with the Asus router connected to the ONT.

I believe I have configured the Asus router correctly with my Vodafone PPOE username and password and the VID under LAN-IPTV in the Asus router menu.

I would prefer to use the Asus router alone and not use the Power hub to avoid double NAT issues but I need the full upload speed.

Easiest thing to do is in the router GUI go to Administration>Policy and withdraw your consent from everything there. Reboot and retest.

You have a connection so it's clear this is not a settings issue.

Do you have any of the features enabled on the asus, like AIProtection or bandwidth monitor? Most of the features like those disable NAT acceleration slowing the data down as the cpu has to analyse traffic.

I dont think I have AiProtection enabled but maybe bandwidth monitor. Is there anything else you would suggest checking?

Legend, thanks, I think that might have fixed it. I'll monitor it for a few days.
