hi everyone. so i just switched over to vodafone full fibre 900 which is running pretty nicely compared to my old isp, however I do have a couple of problems. firstly the speed to my ps4 is pretty slow and was looking for a way to improve what speed I'm receiving. I'm getting roughly 500-550mbps to the router which is about 6foot away from the ps4, but on the ps4 speed test its reading at 65-70mbps. yes I know that a wired connection is better than wifi, but thought that with it being pretty close to the router it wouldn't have dropped so much. the same is also happening with my fire stick but that is reading about 100mbps. any help greatly appreciated. thanks all.

Sorry that sounded a bit rude, as If I thought you incapable.
What I meant, is if the option is still available to you, because Vodafone remove it from some users. (usually if you have the boosters)

@Jayach 🤣 Don't you hate that the time to edit posts has been so greatly reduced? 👍

I certainly do, I'd just edited it, but it said I'd run out of time when I tried to post it.
It must be set at something like 30 seconds, and needs to be at least 5 minutes.

tried it, no option. thanks

tried from main router and also whacked to booster to be in the same room. main router at front door 35 ft away from PS. thought it would try and pick up the wifi from the booster but has made little to no difference at all. thanks

I have absolutely no faith in the the crappy "boosters" Vodafone supplied with the THG3000.
The router itself seems fine. (in my opinion, others may differ)
I assume you have done all the recommended things to get the best from it. Get it as high as possible, away from walls (again, if possible) and not near fish tanks or sources of interference..
Switch off the booster(s), reboot the router and see if it improves without them.
Also it may be worth getting a Wi-Fi analyser app for a tablet or phone, and see it it is definately broadcasting both 2.4Ghz and 5ghz signals, and at what strength
I assume from what you say, you were quite happy with the HHG2500, if so maybe consider using it as an access point? Google using an old router as an access point for details.

I think I've confused you with another thread, you probably didn't upgrade with Vodafone, but came from another ISP. However if you do still have their router, it may still be possible to use it as an access point.
