Landline porting rejection

Hoping someone will be able to help please.....

I been having a nightmare trying to get my landline number ported back - which I’ve had for the last 31 years.

After recently switching to Vodafone on 25th November 2021 - I was given a temporary landline number and was told that my old number would be ported over after a few days but this hasn’t happened.

I have spent hours on the phone to Vodafone chasing this up - Vodafone have placed an order 3 times to request porting of the old number and each time the request has been rejected. Why has it been rejected and why can't it be sorted out?

I was assured from the start that my landline number would be ported and feel that I have been mislead by Vodafone.
