Left without landline Elderly Lady Aged 93 on her own

Wanting to provide broadband for my elderly sister in law (93 years young), simply to stream TV and allow her to watch catch up. I elected to join Vodafone. (WHAT A MISTAKE THAT HAS TURNED OUT TO BE!,!,)

Having being given the 21st March for connection, and receiving Router the week before.

I attended her house ( a 50 mile trip) to instal router and connect TV. (WHAT A WASTE OF TIME THAT WAS)

Found that connection was not possible,! But not only that BT informed me that their services would end on that day 21st to coincide with Vodafone’s connection.

SO, to date there has been NO Telephone service (not too bothered about lack of broadband)  VODAFONE INFORM ME IT WILL BE 5th APRIL NOW FOR CONNECTION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you cancel with BT or did you let just sign up with Vodafone and let them handle the cancellation?

If there is a delay in the installation the old service should continue up to the day Openreach do the swap, if the gaining ISP are handling it.

Hi @Bozerboy - I understand how important it is to get your sister in laws broadband and landline up and running as soon as possible. Along with the question @Jayach has asked, could you drop us a message on social media please? Make sure to include your landline/account number and a link back to your forum post to save you repeating yourself.

Thank you Eve for your communication. Unfortunately I do not know how to do what you require (adding links etc). Can you please explain.
I will try the live chat, but doubt they can help. I did manage to actually speak with some one yesterday. Full of apologies. Say they understand, but in the end can do NOTHING.

You don't need to include the link @Bozerboy  - it would be to save you repeating yourself that's all, you can just give us your username or even just explain again what you need help with 🙂 we can still help over social media.
