Does any one know if Vodafone provide this service or if there is phone I can get that has it.

I.e.

Someone call and if not in your approved list it asked them to say who they are. Then you get a call with there answer and you can approve or block the number.

Vodafone doesn't even offer a Voicemail service with their VoIP landline service, so you have zero chance of them ever implementing such a feature anytime soon.

As Vodafone have never offered call screening on their landline service, the move to VoIP has made no difference in this case.

The point the UK government is forcing all on to voip is a joke. We where told it would stop spam callers not make it easier for them. OK Vodafone never had on copper is fair point. But still a pain service most old land line providers had is not working with voip.

VoIP has many advantages, but I have never heard anyone say that is one of them.

It's not really the Government forcing it on us, it's simply the problems and expense of keeping the old copper infrastructure and exchanges running whist also providing the faster broadband now being demanded (or being told we need) by us consumers.

It has disadvantages too, the main one being no easy method of keeping it working during a power cut.
