Got gigafast fibre with phone via router. When I phone a local number I didn't used to have to use the area code, just like with traditional calling. Now when I only dial a local number it doesn't connect, but does when the local number is prefixed with the local area code.
Is that right, ie. how it's supp to work?
Thanks

Yup, it is working as you would expect. You are not connecting to a local exchange, and could if you want to have a number that appeared to be at the other end of the country! All of this means that you need to use the full number when making any calls!
