Hi
I don't know if anyone here has experience, I have a had a fall alarm put in for my parents, the problem is that the company use Vodafone sim, but in my parents house the signal indoors is really weak, some days it seems to have 1 bar but most of the time there is nothing.
I have contacted the company but they only have the one option and suggested I contact Vodafone. Who while being very understanding have no plans to improve signal in my mums area.
It does not work off the wifi and I do't know what to do here.
Any ideas?

Thanks Paul - Logged a ticket with their customer support team, not very helpful but they said they will have tech look into for me!
I have 14 days to cancel so I think they might help!

Unless the company in question has agreements with all 4 MNO's for scenarios such as this, or offer roaming SIMs to achieve the same end, they must have a process in place for "no coverage" situations.
You have valid cause for complaint with this company in any case. They won't be able to guarantee 100% national indoor coverage, but need to have something in-place if they choose to solely rely on one network.

Thanks Japitts - I hope they can find a solution, I have a open ticket and request to cancel and find another supplier if they cant help resolve, thankfully I am still within the cacellation period, I need to find one that works so hoping their tech has a solution!

Hi @Hughesie999 - I hope you can get this resolved with the company. It sounds like you've already done this, although you can check the expected coverage at your parents address, via our Network Status Checker. If it's showing as a low coverage area, then it doesn't sound like the product will be reliable for you.

They only do Vodafone, do you know where I can get a booster, they gave me a company but its too dear at nearly £800....is there free options I can get from Vodafone for Mum, she has a Vodafone contract

Just make sure they don't drag that ticket out with false promises, taking you beyond the 14days cancellation.
If you've logged your issues, then you'd have a case for cancelling outside 14days if the delay was of their making - but it would no doubt be trickier.
Might be worth investigating other operators to see if your location has coverage from O2, EE or 3UK - if the company happens to come back to you offering either/or, you will be better prepared to say "yes please" or "no thankyou" if you've already done your groundwork.

They have told me that I will have to get a Vodafone Mobile Booster and they recommended a company that does these but its nearly £700 for it and I have to install it myself at mums for it to work. The Alarm company don't do any other network, seem a bit disappointing. They will give me a credit for £300 towards the cost but its still a lot of money on top of the monthly costs I'm paying them
Thanks for the help, I'm going cancel the contract tomorrow as I know there has to be a better way to sort this. I looked into another company and they have the all networks sim and it picks up the strongest signal, so I'm hoping that works, but they also said if there is no signal inside I;m going need a booster. Does anyone now how to get a free Vodafone booster or a cheaper one? Here is the company they recommended for the [Removed]
Thanks for the help, I have to get it sorted soon and with the bad weather coming I'm afraid of slips as the floors get wet coming inside, not to mention ice

Asking for £400 to resolve a problem of that provider's making...impressive.
"Boosters" are often used to describe different things. Rewind the industry a few years, and this often (incorrectly) referred to 3G microcells that worked alongside your broadband router to provide a pocket of internal 3G coverage. Long since gone now.
Legal Ofcome-approved signal boosters are the next step down from a fully functional microcell, and need professional installation. These do cost £00s.
