Network type 4G

Hi,

I'm currently enrolled on a 5G plan using a Sony 5ii. But the coverage is pretty awful in my area. Based on the network status checker I should get 4G. However, I either get on bar or none in my place. And the speed is quite slow. 

In different places I managed to get five 5G. But my question is why the 4G in my area is soo terrible? Since the tool says that the coverage is OK.

Hi @andrewpacurar 

You might be in a fringe area or your masts maybe encountering mast congestion.

Can you fill out the template in the following link and copy and paste it back in your thread with your answers.

Network-issues-initial-checks-and-template. 

As your phone is OK elsewhere it must be network coverage.

It could also be the thickness of your house walls, weather, population growth or trees affecting connection.

Thank you for the message.

I was told by the support team that the 4G in my area is under maintenance. But I was assured that the 2G is very good.... 

Yesterday the support stuff told me different things. I got a pre paid sim from O2, and the 4G is working fine. 

This provider is a joke and I will probably end my contract early.
