Hi it's been 24 hours my network has been down and I've been struggling to access anything no internet no calls nothing what is going on what am I paying for disgusting service

May I ask is this happening everywhere or in one place ?
If in one place please check your local and surrounding masts via the Vodafone Status-checker
To check your surrounding masts please zoom out on the map.
Vodafone also has a thread with troubleshooting tips, and a template to use in Network-issues-initial-checks-and-template.
Tips such as trying your sim card in another phone as a process of elimination to rule out your sim card or phone.
Customer services via Live Chat or 191 can check your account.

As you can see Vodafone were doing some updates and this should solve itself. If you are still having problems, try doing a network scan from your connection settings, when completed select any other network, wait until it rejects the request and reselect Vodafone.
