Hi @b4u2
There is plenty of information about the switch off on the internet after using Google. Networks will generally be switching off 2G and 3G 2033.
Vodafone have this official information for 3G here: We’re switching off 3G in 2023 if you scroll down to Need More Help, you will see Vodafone won't be switching off 2G anytime soon until 2033.

Thanks for your response.
But i don't understand why 2g will be staying longer than 3g?
that to me doesn;t make any sense!

Hi @b4u2
Possibly because more devices use 2g such as smart meters etc.
This also makes an interesting read > https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology.
My personal opinion is the Network's would be better leaving 2g and 3g in place.
Especially as it can appear that many still can't achieve 4G / 4G+ and even less attaining 5G.
I understand 2g and 3g is considered as old technology connection types but for many it's the best there getting at the moment.
