There’s 4 bars of signal but no throughput of data what so ever. Issue started today both a friend an I experience the same issue independently several times today. 4G works fine in other areas of Bracknell

Hey @JackRussell Thanks for sending those details over. I've checked all three of the masts surrounding you;
- 76791
- 76546 (The mast you are connected to)
- 82572
There are no issues or downtime on any of the cells. There is however scheduled maintenance for October and November on all 3 sites which is to improve the quality and capacity of the network in the area.
As there is no evidence to suggest a network issue currently, we will need you to fill n the Network Queries Template and provide 3 screenshots of your speeds over the next 24 hours which show the time the tests were run. Please run the tests on speedtest.net
Once we have all of this information we can look into raising a network case so our engineers can investigate the masts and cells in more detail.

Yesterday the CellID I mentioned was hard down in the context that it is NOT passing data so no Speedtest or apps worked, despite it having 4 bars of 4G strength. I’ll check its status again when I get home

It is now July 2024 and the Issue is still occurring . There is absolutely no data connection around Bracknell lexicon and it’s been a going issue for about 3 years. Vodafone are obviously aware of the issue and have chosen not to do anything about it while sugarcoating it with “it’s working fine”. I reported it 5 times to Vodafone and they let me leave my contract, the data works well on EE. That is the only solution as Vodafone refuses to fix it, it’s also the same problem on o2.

Thank You for taking the trouble to reply. In the meantime service between where I live and the town is still flakey. I have noticed that a few 5G areas have appeared but even in those areas where phone says 5G throughput is varied and sometimes so slow apps stop processing until I am somewhere better. I am still with Vodafone. Thanks for the EE recommendation.

I documented all of my outages for months and Vodafone let me out of my contract due to degradation of service. They don’t seem interested in fixing the broken masts. [Removed] Service is so much better. I am so glad Vodafone let me out of my contract.
