No signal at home

I’ve recently moved at get no signal at all in my new village. The silly TOBI chat bot just tells me to use WiFi calling which is useless as the WiFi signal is so poor. I’m now paying for a service I can’t use.

in addition, I’ve noticed a real drop in service levels when I’m out and about travelling for work. Calls cut out constantly and I struggle to work on the train.

Any suggestions? I’m certain this is a network problem and not a handset issue. Am I better off moving networks?

Hi @turnip09 - I understand how important it is to have a the best possible connection and a stable one when working. Please take a look at our Network Status Checker. This will show the expected coverage for your new address. If it's showing a better coverage than what you're getting, then please message us on Social Media. We can then check the sites in your area.

When you're travelling, especially on a train, the coverage you get can change, due to switching between masts and moving at a high speed.

And what if it’s not showing decent signal where I live? Presumably this means you don’t provide a service and I need to leave Vodafone?

We wouldn't want it to get to the stage of you leaving us @turnip09 - If it's showing the general coverage isn't good for your new address, then please keep a look out at the bottom right section of our Network Status Checker, where it shows 'Planned (3 months)'. This will change as soon as there's any planned updates for your area.

You choose the best overall network, based on which one has the most reliable service in all the locations you frequent and want to use your phone.

Single locations having poor indoor service can be mitigated for.

How? So far Vodafone haven’t offered any options. They just told me 4G is only available outdoors (which isn’t the case - I get nothing) and there is nothing they can do

Was this coverage apparent when you first viewed your prospective new home? This was asked in a previous post but never responded to.

No network will guarantee 100% national indoor coverage, and WiFi-calling provides a solution in these cases. Was the coverage issue apparent when you first viewed your new home? That would have been a good chance to start investigating alternatives if so.

If you're having wider network issues with voice or data performance, then that's another issue.

@turnip09 I'm intrigued about you saying the WiFi is signal is poor. Which type of broadband and router do you have?

Sky - max speed is 25mbps on a good day but it drops out constantly on WiFi calling
