I live in a remote area with limited phone reception and run my business from home. For years I have used a Sure Signal which worked fine but is now disconnected so I am forced to use Wifi calling. I have a Samsung S20 5G phone.
For around half my calls the other person cannot hear me, if cuts in and out very quickly so they only get every other word although I can hear them clearly. Consequently I have been forced to use Whatsapp calling or the old landline.
Vodaphone have 'refreshed' the line 3 x but still the same problem persists. Is anyone else having the same the problem or know of a solution?
Thanks

My understanding is that the number string is an instruction to the handset to make Wifi calling appear in the menu and is independent of the network.
(could be wrong, am certainly no expert but it worked for me)
After you reboot the phone you need to go back into the settings menu and turn Wifi calling on.

It completely sucks...I've done all that, reset the phone, it says I can have wifi calling. However, I can't receive any sms messages over wifi calling, and neither can my son or husband, all with different model phones.
Trying to pay bills, accept messages from my GP, register new cards on apps, they want to send a code via sms, but I can't receive it until I move to an area where I can get a signal. Then I have no wifi, so can't enter the code in time, as some have only 30 seconds to do so.
As soon as I don't feel ill, I'm getting out of Vodafone, if only I had the energy to do so right away, but it's yet another hassle I didn't ask for, and don't need.
Crappy company, I;ve only ever been with them because of the sure signal anyway, because of living in a rural area.

I've now moved to EE.
Same phones, same location where Vodafone became unusable once my Sure Signal died.
Calling and SMS over Wifi works perfectly. If EE can do it, why can't Vodafone?

please dont patronise us . your wi fi calling is appalling and absolutely no sms messaging now you have discontinued the sure signal . after 40 plus years of loyalty to vodafone we as a family of 4 have no option than to look else where

40 plus years? Not quite, I think! Agree with the rest of it, though.

Four family members with ten years each on Vodafone = 40 years

So just got this today following my raising the issue with CEDR.
We are contacting you regarding....
Further to your application for adjudication, submitted on 27-Sep-2021, your application has been reviewed and approved under the Scheme Rules, Vodafone now has 10 working days to:
They obviously feel there is a case to answer, so can everyone put in a complaint about SureSignal being turned off.

So, 14 days later, have you heard anything more?

Unfortunately they eventually came down on the side of Vodafone who claimed it was in their commercial interest to turn off Suresignal. They did say they had sympathy and said much more should be done but at the end of the day they could not object to a company's commercial practises.

Hi Vodafone.
The Calling over WiFi works for phone calls, but how would you suggest I set up a fall alarm for an elderly parent in a rural area?
The WiFi is now very good since I installed some repeaters and set up a full mesh, but the Vodafone signal is very poor and all the available fall alarms are connected via a SIM only - none of them seem to support WiFi.
Suggestions?
Roy.
