Hi,

My website https://ce-tech.info/

Is being blocked by vodafone, stating that it's an 18+ website (it's not 18+ at all!)

It works on wifi and O2 networks, but vodafone is giving an issue.

I have https enabled and SSL certificates (can be checked on

Please can this be fixed Screenshot 2022-08-16 at 09.46.26.png

OOPS - That was the wrong link. I apologise. - That was the GDPR one. It exists under the DPA as well though.

https://www.gov.uk/data-protection

Quote:

"Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to find out what information the government and other organisations store about you. These include the right to:

  • be informed about how your data is being used
  • access personal data
  • have incorrect data updated
  • have data erased
  • stop or restrict the processing of your data
  • data portability (allowing you to get and reuse your data for different services)
  • object to how your data is processed in certain circumstances

You also have rights when an organisation is using your personal data for:

  • automated decision-making processes (without human involvement)
  • profiling, for example to predict your behaviour or interests

In fact, if you look at the link YOU SENT ME, It even states "You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data that Vodafone holds about you under the Data Protection Act and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)."

ALSO - That link is for your CUSTOMERS and they have to login. I am not a customer.

Hi @zoeballz Thanks for your patience while I looked into this for you. I've tried to access your site today through a Vodafone mobile connection and have had no issues, so it appears anything blocking this access has now been removed.

With regards to the classification by the BBFC, they publish a report on a quarterly basis and it includes the website adjudications that they've made that quarter. The historic reports are available publicly here: https://www.bbfc.co.uk/about-classification/mobile-content/quarterly-report the details of the update for your site will most likely be available in the September report. With regards to this being blocked by O2, we're unable to advise if any change requested by ourselves will be reflected by their service. You'd need to raise this with them directly.

If you need any further help with this, or anything else, don't hesitate to let us know.

Thank you very much got getting it unblocked. That is much appreciated. 😍

Getting back to why it happened, You get a block list from BBFC or where please ? and how often did you receive the data including my site ? I want to understand who was responsible and why this happened in the first place.

Many thanks,

Zoe
