Hi everyone,
I’m on an iPhone 16 PRO. I had an older contract (pre 2020) and the 5G Standalone option was greyed out. I was told by a Vodafone representative that I would need to upgrade my contract to benefit from SA. (or Ultra as they call it)
I’ve done that and the SA option is still greyed out.
Does 5G SA actually work for anyone on an iPhone? Or was I just tricked into upgrading (hence losing the roaming benefits etc)?
Many thanks

Thanks. I’d lost hope anyone from Vodafone can actually help me so I sorted it with chat GPT as a learning tool on how provisioning for 5G SA works then manually forcing profile resets 😂
Works now. Still sad one needs to go through all these hoops and nobody from vdf can actually help.

Hi, could you please let me know how you resolved this issue? I have the same issue. Thanks!

You need to explain a but more. E.g. Are you on a new plan? Does 5G Ultra show in your account plan? Is SA enabled on your phone? What does nPerf show when you are in a 5G SA area?

I found Vodafone 5G SA slower than NSA and I couldn't make calls as they would drop to 2G or completely cut me off.
Vodafone 2nd line were useless. I had to cancel my upgrade, move back to NSA and now VoLTE works again.

VoNR is not implemented on VodaUK, so calls will drop to VoLTE or 2G. SA is currently slower upload wise than NSA as there are more bands available for aggregation om NSA. This will change as there will be more terminals supporting SA and SA CA in the future and more customers using the new network. It’s like a handover from the old to the new.

0I have an iPhone 16 Pro and whenever I use Vodafone 5G network on it, this website (Moving Service) doesn't open on it. Can someone tell me the problem?
Please!
