Hi I need urgent help with Vodafone putting a default on my credit file in 2019. The default was £30 which I have paid as soon as notified. What happened was I didn’t realise an old contract had automatically renewed and I had changed address and contact number in the meantime. Now it has been 3 years and I’m fed up getting applications rejected because of this

Just follow this link : Contact Us and speak to the Social Team. They will put you in contact with the dedicated team who will be able to investigate if the default was incorrectly placed.
However, contracts don't just auto renew, contracts are for a minimum terms and not a maximum term, if you didn't cancel the contract would have rolled over on a month to month basis until you contacted Vodafone and cancelled.

Sadly if that's the case then the default was warranted and as such won't be removed by the Credit File Specialist Team's via the Social Media Team.
Paying off the amount looks better on the credit file as this then shows as settled, however the default will remain in situ for 6 years.
I appreciate how frustrating this is as I've had the same happen to me in the past and had to wait for 6 years for the default to drop off.
