Trade in phone

So i received my trade in bag and put my phone in there, then I took it to the Vodafone shop near my house and he opened the bag back up (which I was confused about) and he checked the phone over (I had already stated the phone had been checked before. Then he typed a few things in on the computer and told me that’s all done he will send it off for me. This was a week prior to Christmas...  now I’ve received a text to say  they are still waiting for my phone to arrive. I can’t get hold of anyone via the phone only through online chat please please can someone help me as I’m loosing my mind
