£100 Amazon reward voucher not received after joining Vodaphone Broadband

OK, Hi to everyone, my first post.

Where shall I start. I have a dual 18 month contract for myself and my wife's phones. I got an offer to swap to Superfast Broadband and get a £100 voucher from one of a selection of associated retailers to Vodaphone. Sounded like a great deal so I chose to swap away from TalkTalk as their customer service was impossible to get hold of. I chose a £100 Amazon voucher and received a confirmation message informing me that after 3 months a voucher would be sent out to me after the validity period had been confirmed. Six months down the line and I've still not received my voucher.

I wanted to buy an expensive item off Amazon so this re-jogged my memory and I started to chase this up.  Eventually I was supplied with an Email to uk-vodaphonevouchers*awin.c@m to complain and ask for follow-up. (Note: the * and @ are substituted for '@' and 'com' to allow the address to be submitted)

Guess what.....I got a reply telling me the domain is not valid....great, and thought I had finally made the progress I needed. I Phoned again and they all say the same namely, 'thats the Email we have been given and should be used to complain'. I've now spent almost two hours on the phone to various Vodaphone departments and I feel like I'm bashing my head against a wall. I also hope 0808 numbers aren't premium or this will be costing me a fortune. Apparently it's via a third party company called WeGift, but the obviously don't!

Can anyone help with resolving this problem???

Hi all, It seems there’s been a little confusion regarding these offers 😕 Let’s see if we can clear things up a little and help get everyone on the right track 😁

You’re only eligible if  you sign up online, and fill in your email address after clicking out on the third party site, before landing on our site.

It can take up to 120 days to receive the gift card and you must wait this time before raising this further.

If you've not received your giftcard after this time, please follow one of the below escalation routes 👉

  • If you switched using Uswitch between the 1st of December 2019 and the 27th of February 2020 .Pop you query over to uk-vodafonevouchers@awin.com
  • If you joined us through Uswitch on or after the 28th of February 2020: Any queries should be sent to rewards@giftcloud.com
  • If you came to us through Money Super Market, Broadband Choices, Go Compare, Money Saving Expert etc  at any timeYou can raise any queries  to uk-vodafonevouchers@awin.com

It's a crappy situation, none of these companies are willing to take ownership of the issue,

And after reading these post it's clearly affecting quite a few people,

Hope more people complain tbh

They might actually have to do somthing if enough people kick up a fuss,

It's just frustrating as hell

Its interesting to see so many people in the same position!

I signed up at the beginning of October 2019 on the basis that i'd recieve a £75 M&S voucher, which given the current situation that is going on, would be very useless right now. I've lost count the amount of time i've contacted Vodafone via their chat for them to tell me they'll contact the correct team and 'log' my query, on one occasion i was told i would have the money creditted to my account due to all the hassle, still nothing.

They provided me with the same email address, which i've emailed several times and not recieved one response! its disgusting that they can advertise such an insentive so that you sign up and then you never actually receive this!

Has anybody received a response recently?

Thanks!

Finally they sent me the voucher this morning!

Wow, did you have to threaten legal action?!  🙂

Congrats - your perseverance has been rewarded!  I don't think it was meant to be that hard though - or actually  require any effort. I've since left Vodafone; managed to escape the contract due to a price-rise within 6 months of joining. I certainly avoid these 'tempting offers' now unless dealing 100% direct.

have you got the actual email I can use?

 Hi there,

I've got broadband on the comparison website .bought before 15.October 2021..waited 4 months to claim £125 giftcard..and now they blaming Vodafone won't confirm my contract..I've looked on my bills..Vodafone canceled my web contract..made new one(,,over the phone’’ behind my back..(and changed my home phone number) and now I'm Not eligible for giftcard because it’s contract over the phone and contract date?? I just realized there@ hundred people like me tricked…Must be thousands of pounds involved in this scam…

Two months later, from initial round of complaints to WeGift, still no further response from from them, not even a email confirmation.

Thier customer service level is beyond shocking.

Hi all, like many of you I was swayed by the gift card deal when I signed up for Vodafone broadband in January against my better judgement. The 120 day wait came to an end this week and no gift card. I sent a polite email to the address in the Wegift T&Cs (the same given in this thread) and reminded them of their terms. Within 2 hours I had the £100 Amazon gift card in an email.

I was quite despondent having read this thread and convinced myself that I was scammed. However a little prompt to Wegift does seem to have worked in my case. Appreciate that it hasn't been this straight forward for others. Good luck to those still chasing, pretty poor form from Vodafone and Wegift.

All the best.

Anthony

I received my voucher about a month ago, I also mentioned trading standards and received my voucher the next day. That seems to be a common thread here, which is ridiculous because you should not need to threaten that kind of action to get what is owed to you. I imagine there are plenty of people who haven't received their voucher and have given up trying, or have forgotten what was owed to them...
