Can Vodafone use VirginMedia connection to home?

Having moved to different ISP, the VirginMedia connection to home exists but is not used.

Does Vodafone have agreement with VirginMedia to use their currently redundant connection to home?

If yes, what unlimited broadband fibre packages are available?

Simple answer, no.

Hi @Jayach chatting to Openreach Broadband Engineer on Monday, the off-the-record clarification is that Openreach use VirginMedia ducting for any ISP to connect to home.  Evidently, when Openreach FTTP services do not exist, customers connectivity is a priority with this pragmatic solution. Very good update from Openreach.

Visited local Vodafone high street shop, but Vodafone database did not include Vodafone ISP full fibre broadband to my home, so order went to other ISP full fibre broadband.

They can't even give an ETA as to when they will use OpenReach lines and they are a confirmed partner so I wouldn't hold out any hope for this.

Hi @flipside thank you for the Openreach clarification. Visited local Vodafone and their technical support could not find that the housing estate had Openreach 1Gpbs full fibre to my home. So I totally agree not to hold out any hope. Very strange Vodafone not taking on new business, are they going bust?
