Damaged fibre cable in Garden

How deep should the fibre cable in the garden be? I have managed to damage the outer cable while planting in the front garden. Internet is still working at the moment but worried that damage to cable might affect broadband at a later date

There's quite alot of information on the net about this @Trueblue371 however I'm in no means an expert or have official advice on this.

On piece of information says " minimum depth/cover of 30 inches "

If you know who laid the cabke it might be beneficial to seek out the guides or information they have on their website.

If you haven't chopped into the cable in a way that stops it working then it should be OK.

If this was me I'd look at purchasing some form of tape that's adequate to wrap around the parts of the cable you've marked up so it's sealed again.

I wish you all the best. Take care.  😎

If it's just ducting or pipe that's damaged it's possible to patch without too much trouble!
