So Xmas last year get offered a vodafone broadband deal in which I could get up to 900mb once city fibre finished there work..

today I grab the city fibre guy outside and ask how long until there done.

he says he’s finished but 10 houses in the same street won’t get vodafone 900mb as it’s a private street..

1 hour later sky and bt offer me 900mb

how do I get out of this contract as they made false promises

Raise a complaint. Only they can allow you to leave penalty free. Complaints Code of Practice | Vodafone

However, if it's via CityFibre, I'm surprised Sky can offer it if Vodafone can't.

Thanks for your reply..

sky offered 600mb (sorry ) with min 450mb guarantee..

bt offered 900mb with min 450mb guarantee..

like I say in jan this year the guy offered 900mb once city fibre had finished, but today said they couldn’t .

my speed is ok at a steady 32mb but wifi issues, lan disconnects are seriously causing me issues.

wifi settings changed, firmware updated and now a static ip have not fixed the issues

If you did get FTTP from Vodafone, it will be using the same router. So any WiFi problems will be the same.

Interestingly I've just read that when CityFibre move into a new area they choose one supplier to work with and that supplier will get a period of exclusivity

Perhaps in your area they have chosen Sky and BT.

What does the CityFibre site say?

.

Confused - Last I heard Sky do not work with CityFibre?

No, I don't think they do. However this thread is 16 months old, so I'm sure the OP has solved their problem.
