I've just received my GRANDSTREAM HT801. Can someone please point me to a link with the exact details of what information I need to enter into the configuration?

Take a screenshot of your fxs settings and share it on Google drive for us to look at. Obviously obscure user ID and password.

Hi looks like I won't need to. Rebooted a whole load of stuff and magically get Registered.
Onwards and upwards!

As far as I remember the screenshot of that page should be complete, or the settings below the cut-off aren't important. The dial plan is not critical either, I don't even change that setting any more.
If you're struggling a couple of things to consider are the dns settings (90.255.255.90,90.255.255.255) and port forwarding. There can still be a couple of things that aren't set correctly, but they would only affect minor things - you'd still get a connection.
Unfortunately I no longer have the HT801 to get a fresh screenshot.

If you want it, here's my dialplan
{ 10[015] | 11[129] | 999 | 11[68]xxx | 1[45]7[1-2] | 08001111 | 0845464x | 0[1235789]xxxxxxxxx | 1410[1235789]xxxxxxxxx | 14700[1235789]xxxxxxxxx | 00xxx. | x+ | \+x+ | *x+ | *xx*x+ }

Ah you quoted the VF DNS servers. Whereas my entire intranet uses OpenDNS. I never use an ISP's DNS.
Are you suggesting that I need to configure VF DNS specifically on the HT801 - I assume because the bbvoice proxy can only be resolved by VF DNS...?

Yes, 100% correct. The Vodafone SIP servers will not resolve on any other DNS.

Am I correct in my assumption that ALL of the configuration takes place on the grandstream HT801 - ie that it is NOT necessary to make any changes to your 3rd party router (assuming it is already working for internet access) in order to get the landline working using the HT801?
I have tried copying settings from several of the posted screenshots but as yet have not succeeded. It just occureed to me that POSSIBLY there might be some setting needed on my router as well as the HT801.
Sorry if this seems to be a dumb question - but whilst I am quite capable of copying configuration screens, my knowledge of VOIP telecoms does not extend to understanding what (most of) the configuration parameters mean.

There is a second screen of settings on the HT801. I'm not sure what's on it but there are changes to be made there.
