So, I'm using my own expensive Ubiquiti equipment (Router, Switch and Various WIFI Access Points), got it all setup PPPOE using the provided by Vodafone but then it struck me?! what about the phone and it looks like there is many threads for Vodafone to hand over the VoIP details but little success.
Currently I've resorted into using the VF Router and Bridged it into my Ubiquiti equipment on a different subnet which is less than ideal because technically speaking, I'm still using the VF router, with just more settings.
Has anyone had any luck in recent weeks/months? any stance change by VF on matter? if we were to disable dchp wouldn't the lan or wan port pickup the connection when plugging the VF into a 3rd party router? allowing the VOIP a connection?

I had a big argument with Vodafone about this. They currently insist that the fibre connection is sold as a package including the VOIP and that these two services are not separate, hence you cannot have one for VOIP, one for internet. However, when I signed up (day 1 in my area) I was sold fibre on its own and that's the basis on which the order completed. At installation they phoned me up and offered VOIP as an 'extra' which I accepted, but was not told they would weld the two together. Their initial advertising and press releases (still on their website) also show the service as 'internet only' being the option.
Currently considering whether to go to OFCOM about this as it seems to be a classic case of 'not treating customers fairly' when they later refuse to split the services they sold separately originally.

Ok seems like i have no chance getting the services split as i have signed up as a package. Not sure why they making it difficult for end users.

If you've signed up to both services as a package @chrisnasah, we'll be unable to separate these for you. If there's been some confusion over the services offered and how these would be provided @SimonHayterUK, we can take a look into this for you. As we may need access to your account to do this, pop us a message through one of our social channels and we'll be happy to help.

Hi there,
I've been working in the industry for around 15 years, and although the Vodafone routers does deliver stable up and down speeds to my property via fttp, I would like to use my own router, as they lack a lot of functionality for my use, and the last thing I want to do is double NAT.
I also want the the ability to use my VOIP line without being tied to the Vodafone router. Why do Vodafone not provide the settings for us to be able to do this and restrict this from us? We pay for the service, so why shouldn't we be able to use whatever hardware we like at our cost?
Thanks,

Hi @mitster - you can use your own router, though if ours is doing the job we would advise to use that; as it's provisioned to work with our services.
If you would like to use your own, you'll need to contact us to get your username and password. We can't recommend any but a little research before hand on routers that can support two suppliers, one for the broadband connection and the second for the VoIP line would be best. But it sounds like you know what you're doing there already.
If there's anything else I can help you with, just let me know!

Hey
I have the broadband username and password just need the VOIP settings? How do I get these please?
Thanks

Good luck getting them. That's the bit that Vodafone are refusing to give to anyone, so you cannot do the VOIP bit without using their equipment. It is infuriating.

You don't, unless Vodafone change their stance on giving them out. You will need to get a separate VoIP provider.

Anyone at Vodafone care to comment or raise this issue with the relevant heads?

any update on this? I am struggling with lack of features on supplied router where I can’t even set static routes so router knows about other subnets within my network. I can’t change router as VOIP will not work.
