Hidden SSID

I have recently been upgraded to the Vodafone Ultrahub. When I got it I changed the SSID with no problems. I then had a broadband problem and support got me to reset the router so the SSID reverted. When I changed it again it came up as”hidden” and I can’t find a way of unhiding it either through the app or the web interface. Any ideas?

The best thing to do would be a factory reset, which will take the hub back to as it was when 1st unboxed/powered

On the Ultra Hub the reset is above the power port, push it using an unfolded paper clip or similar into the hole until you hear a click and hold for 10 seconds.  You can then start from scratch.

I’ve already been through this process once. I am not confident that repeating that exercise would yield a different result.

Strange, doing a factory reset should bring everything back to its original state and set the SSID and passwords back to the ones marked on the case.

Isn't there a "display SSID" toggle on the browser interface?

Not in my browser interface! I get a message saying “super wi-Fi is running your wi-Fi settings. Please use the super Wi-Fi tile in the home broadband app to manage your settings” unfortunately I can’t find a super Wi-Fi tile!

@CynricBut shouldn't the factory reset cancel out any possible user settings ?

Could it be a hidden SSID for an extender ? like in a mesh system ?

@PonymanAre you having this problem with more than one device ?

Chances are the "hidden" network you're seeing is something inoquous like a roku remote.

I’m getting more confused by the minute! My iPhone says the network is hidden, my iPad doesn’t.
