I've had an exciting email from Vodafone, giving me an offer they think I would love. (Their words, not mine)

Hmm, so how much would I have to pay if I wasn't a loyal customer?

So just what would I be getting for my loyalty? Sweet FA.

I am currently on Superfast 2 (old name for Fibre 2), with maximum sync speed, and no Wi-Fi problems at £22.88 per month.

Think I'll pass.

So now all you have to do is give them a call and see if they can beat the "automated" offer...  Of course, like most of the regulars on this forum, you're not paying anywhere near the "out of contract" (OOC) rate, so doing anything is a risk - unless you already know they are going to be upping you to the OOC rate!

I look forward to updates...

I'm not sure if my pictures will be moderated, but as I still have more than a year to run on my current contract, I won't be contacting them again until it runs out. (unless we get FTTP here, in which case I will see what they will offer on that, but unfortunately it isn't looking like that is going to happen for a long time)

How is £41 pcm vfm? I get 60/20 for £30 including evening and weekend phone.

My upcoming Fibre 900 from BT is £30pcm.  It's probably the benefit of expressing an interest will everyone who was touting the arrival of full fibre here, and then having to hold off!  FYI, Plusnet (also BT) came in at £31, and EE was almost as expensive as VF.  It may be the personalised contract, but BT is promising a minimum of 700Mbps while +net and EE only guarantee 450Mbps on the 900 product!

Oh happy day when I get the chance of something better than copper wire. 😄

That'll be more than 34GBP after the price rise. The 'contract' allows the advertised price to go up.

I think the yearly price rise date has passed!

When I renewed,  I got 80/20 (I'm relatively close to the cabinet) for £20.00. In the April increase it went up to £22.88.

But I'd managed to get them to include the anytime calls for free., so I'm still happy with what I pay. (my previous contract also included them)

The Pro II contract would add nothing for me, except the mobile fall back, but in the last 2 years I've only had one outage for a few hours in the middle of the night. (That was when they switched me to a local gateway, Surrey Quays, they have since switched me back to Leeds, but I didn't notice any downtime)
