Keep having to reconnect devices

Hey everyone,

New to Vodafone and the forum and looking for a bit of help please.

We’ve been with Vodafone a month or so on the Full Fibre 500 package, speeds are great but having connection issues with a few devices. We have two MacBook laptops, one connects and stays connected, while the other I pretty much have to keep re-adding the password every time I open the laptop. Also, I have 3 smart plugs that also just keep randomly disconnecting.

Any ideas really welcomed, many thanks.

Richard

Hi @RichardR66 - welcome aboard! I'm glad to hear your speeds are great. I can imagine ow frustrating it must be with some of your devices losing connection. Please go through our Support Page and this will help to go through some tests on your line. If needed, you'll then be connected to an agent who can check what's happening from our side.

Thanks Gemma, I went through support last night and was just told everything looks ok on the line. 🙄

Just bumping this as I’m still having issues.

We have lots of devices connected, including many Apple ones but there are 3 that we have to constantly keep reconnecting. These are:

  • iPhone 14 pro
  • MacBook pro (2012)
  • iMac (2013)

Strangely, an identical 14 pro connects with no issues.

Router also has latest firmware 19.4.0551-3261103

Any thoughts please?

Just a random thought:

Actually the latest firmware appears to be 19.4.0551-3261126, try a reboot of the router.

However I don't think that has anything to do with it.,

Much more likely is Apple's supposed security updates.

Reset the router to get the latest firmware. Then leave it for 15 minutes or so to let it settle before configuring. Then work through this guide:
