Loosing connection to the router

I recently switched to VF superfast 2. Everything seems to be working OK but for one annoying problem.

I leave the property regularly for 7 - 10 days. When I return neither my mobile (not VF) and laptop do not initially connect to the internet, wi-fi or router. The laptop (windows 10) will connect to the internet when I manually reconnect, but will not connect to the router using 192.168.1.1. The mobile phone (android 10) will not connect to the internet or router at all, and the VF app just hangs. The problem is resolved by turning the router off and back on again.

I have 2 devices  (thermostat and Ring doorbell) connected and I have no problem accessing those via 4G when I am away, so it seems if I do not connect the phone or laptop for X days the router drops theconnection.

Is there a router setting that is causing this that I can change?

If Mac filtering is off you can rule that one out.

Have you tried completely factory resetting the router and setting it up all again? As if there is a dodgy setting causing problems then that should clear them all.

Not yet, its a p in the a to factory reset every time something stupid happens, but guess I'll have to. I'll reset it before I leave, and delete and reinstall the APP,  and see what happens when I return. If it does not work I guess its just a matter of turning the router off and baxcl on again each time I return.

Thanks for the help guys
