Norton and Apple TV subscriptions

Hi,

I jave just started on Pro Ultrafast 500 Xtra this week.

I have no idea how to get my Norton 360 12 month subscription or to get the Apple TV on us for 12 months. I would have thought an email or text would have arrived by now.

I have plugged in the Apple TV box and created an account but no free trial started.

Any advice from anyone at all would be great.

Thanks

Hi @Wardlelad

I've had a look at the offer via the Vodafone Home Broadband link here Here  and it says under the sub link

Vodafone Pro Xtra

Apple TV 4K on us: You will receive your Apple TV 4K device at the same time as receiving your Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub. Not all content is available in 4K. 4K resolution requires 4K-capable TV. Accessing Dolby Atmos features requires Dolby Atmos–capable devices. Ownership of the Apple 4K TV equipment is yours 14 days after activation of your Xtra Home Broadband service.

*Apple TV+: Limited time offer. Subscription for 3 months included with Apple TV 4K. Offer only available to new Apple TV+ subscribers. "

Looking at a forum search there are a few threads from people who have run into similar issues when trying to activate the Apple TV offer.

Some have suggested contacting apple as they are helpful and can provide a code  !

Here are some examples of the threads I'm talking about.

This thread https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Pay-monthly/12-month-free-Apple-tv has a link to Apple which is https://tv.apple.com/

Some other threads are https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Other-broadband-queries/Apple-TV-Access.

Vodafone customer services on 191 , Live Chat or the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Facebook messenger or Twitter DM may also be able to help as they can access your account.

Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries.

I'm not sure about a Norton 360 subscription so I'd suggest to look at all the small print and also ask Vodafone customer services.

Edit.

Just looked again and under the same Vodafone Home Broadband link as above but under a different sub link

Vodafone Pro

I see " Norton 360 Premium: Offer subject to availability and Norton’s terms and conditions. AntiVirus protection for up to 10 devices. After 12 months, contract automatically renews for 12 months at 50% of Norton’s then current retail price for Norton 360 Premium. See uk.norton.com/vodafone for more details and to confirm availability. " and the link Norton and Vodafone Pro.

You'll need to check with customer services that you get both offers.

I wish you all the best with this situation.

@bandofbrothers

This is really helpful, I will take a look at those links.

Ironically vodafone have emailed me this morning, so maybe I was a bit jumping ahead.

Thanks for the help.

Hi all,

Just an update to this post.

Because I was an existing Norton premium subscriber and I signed in with my details I was offered an upgrade to platinum, which is 20 devices instead of 10.

I had to speak to support and they cancelled my subscription so I could take the vodafone offer and then they added my days left on to it the new subscription, it took me 2 attempts to get this done and a long chat.

So you have to be patient if you already use Norton.

Hi @Wardlelad, it's great to hear that you've now managed to get this sorted and thank you for posting the update 🙂

With the new FTTP 900 product there is supposed to be 24 months free subscription, it says to wait up to a month for subscription details to be emailed. I phoned Vodafone a week ago and they said the same. Its been 3 weeks now, how long does it actually take, isn't it a bit of a long wait just for a subscription code (I assume thats what it is?). The actual AppleTV arrived a week before I migrated to FTTP.

hello billhinge, i am now in the same position awaiting a subscription code, did you receive yours? they said between 14 and 21 days after 900 broadband goes live im not holding my breath! thanks.

Hi there,

Now over a month, nothing. I'm going to call them again today or tomorrow. If it was contractually offered I want it since its priced in somewhere

hello there, thanks for the reply, i think its down to pot luck if you get sent a code by the sound of it and for me it was the sweetener for the broadband and the reason i signed up to vodafone in the first place.

Same here, its annoying because when I took out my original contract there was a voucher offer which I never received and my installation was 20 days late. Also when I changed my bank account it screwed up Vodafones direct debit (no one else was affected), it took about 3 months of argument with customer services to get it resolved. The customer service isn't great but on the plus side the broadband has been good so I let those thing slide. However I think they've had enough slack since FTTP is more expensive
