I've been trying to set up my own router - Zytel vmg3925-g10C with Vodafone Fibre as my VF provided router wireless keeps dropping and I've given up trying with their chat. However, having followed instructions kindly provided here, still can't get the DNS working. Here's my settings. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks!

Hey there @rolandahooch - I know how important it is to stay connected and I'm sorry you're having some issues with your service. What error are you getting when you use your own router?
My team can certainly run some checks with your Vodafone supplied router, if you want to have a chat please just get in touch over social media.

Hi Amanda.
The problem is Wifi dropping out regularly. I have contacted your support teams on several occasions over the past few months - each time they propose a "fix" but it never actually resolves the issue, hence trying to use my own router. I will try the support team one more time to see if they have any other ideas.

I'm assuming you are on FTTC, not FTTP. I don't know that router, what are the other options under Type?
Does your password start with the letters dsl? Try with just IPv4 as Vodafone isn't using IPv6 yet.

Turns out we've got an ONT box, so I'm guessing that will affect the settings I need to us. Tried a few things but not managed to figure it out yet so if anyone knows please let me know.
VF have "updated my router firmware" and assured me there will be no more issues, so time will tell.....
Thanks for the help!

If you have an ONT you are on FTTP, not FTTC as I assumed. Is it CityFibre or Openreach? If CityFibre the VLAN will be 911, if required.
The router you have is a VDSL/ADSL one so maybe you need to tell it to use the WAN port, although most routers will auto sense.

It's openreach.
The router also as options for ADSL over ATM and Ethernet in the "Type" section, but I've not manged to get those working either!

If you are on FTTP it will definitely be Ethernet, and try without a VLAN as I believe the ONT probably handles that.
