Phone line registered to the wrong address

I’m in the process of moving home, not looking to move my existing package but take out an additional one. The property I’m moving to has the landline number registered to the wrong address preventing me from making a purchase online. Does anyone know how to get this changed? Gone round in circles with the openreach chat bot as it’s virtually impossible to talk to a human!

Dial 150 on the landline in question to find out who that service is with? 

Will try once moved. I was trying to sort beforehand to save losing connectivity. Thanks

Can you just not give a number when signing up, you will then presumably be assigned a new one.

It won’t let me do that. We had to register the house as a new address as it shared with the neighbouring property which seems to have confused the systems!

No it insists on an address, the new address it says it can’t provide a connection to that address as it was registered to the wrong one
