I am trying to log into the router settings by logging onto 192.168.1.1 however the password on the bottom of my router does not work, I have tried googling and also the web chat - Tobi (Useless) tells me it should be vodafone!

Have also managed to chat with a human, but they told be they had reset my router and the password on the bottom of my router should now work - after 2 days.  It's still not working, can someone from Vodafone please help me sort this!???

If after all this time they haven't been able to resolve it I would raise a complaint.

I have raised a complaint today via Resolver https://www.resolver.co.uk/

So will see how that pans out.

Hello,  how did you get on?

Ive just joined Vodafone and I’m having the exact same issue of the router not accepting the password attached to the base of the router for me to log onto the hub dashboard.

@Anton61

Factory reset the router (press the recessed button for at least 10 seconds)

If after that you still can't log in (and you are sure you're using the correct password i.e. not the WiFi one) you will need to contact Vodafone.

I like to put the password into a text document so I can carefully compare it to that on the router, and then copy and paste it in.

Thanks, I’ll give it a try.

its definitely not the wifi password, I tried all sort of things with someone on Vodafone chat, they eventually said that I can change the password on the broadband app, but from what I can see it’s the wifi password you can change not the hub one. To do that you need to go into advanced settings which requires the hub password but It didn’t accept the password on there either.

Hi,

In the end, I told Vodafone that the router wasn't working and wouldn't switch on. So because of that, they were pretty quick to replace the router for a new one. Fortunately my new router worked immediately.

My complaint I submitted was resolved too - won't go into details as that was a complete farce too as ended up having two different teams responding to my complaint, it was so disjointed. But they agreed to award me with 2 months free service for all the frustration it caused etc.

So got there in the end! Hope you resolve your issue soon!
