New to Vodafone - Samsung TVs keep dropping out

I am new to Vodafone broadband. Switched over from Sky. Never had an issue with them. I have two Samsung TVs.  They keep dropping off the broadband - and I have to keep connecting to the Wi-Fi each day. They are showing under “offline” devices in the app. Nothing else is dropping out. Any ideas?

Going on what I've seen before on these forums you have two choices.

  • Hard-wire the TVs to your router (to take the router's wifi out if the equation.
  • Use your own router. It's dead easy to get your PPPoE login details from CS.

There's no point going round in circles trying to get the WiFi working as it is.

I guess the question is:  How old are these TVs?

I've a 7yo Samsung Smart TV here, and a load of the MANY Samsung servers it used to connect to are no longer online.  It doesn't drop off line, but it is now set up to connect to a local DNS server just to stop it wasting bandwidth!  If the TVs are a few years old and you are happy with the Vodafone router, then it may be cheaper to turn off the TV networking and switch to external TV smartboxes!
