My Honeywell Evohome Home Controller for my home heating system relies on Internet WiFi connection to optimise heating according to outside temperature, The Outside temperature is sent to the controller by Honeywell/Accuweather by internet. This worked perfectly well for several years until I changed ISP from Plusnet to Vodafone. All other internet and wifi infrastructure in my home works perfectly well on Vodafone's Router.
My issue is the Evohome controller shows a successful connection to ISP Vodafone via my home wifi network but does not receive nor indicate my regional outside temperature. I suspect the outside temperature cannot ping from Honeywell through to the Honerywell Home Control despite it showing it as being connected.
I guess the issue is Router related. It's firmware is 19.4.0551-3261103
Just to be clear, my regional outside temp is not data from an outside thermometer. It is a temperature sourced by Accuweather for my region and that digit is fed to my Controller by Internet by Honeywell via Internet.
Solved! Go to best answer.

Best way to reset is with the recessed button on the back, holding it in for 10 seconds. You shouldn't lose your phone or anything else as the settings will be reloaded from their server. Effectively a reprovisioning.
Make a brew after reset as the router will go through a few reboots before settling down.

First thing to try would be changing the dns servers on the vf router - try 8.8.8.8 and 208.67.222.222. If that doesn't work do you have a third party router you could try with?
You'd need to get your PPPoE details from vodafone to try the second option -

Thanks for suggestion. So I changed DNS servers over to 208.67............... and rebooted my router. I am not sure how often the ambient temp data is updated, so I will leave it a day or two, then report back if it works.
PS. I am not to savy on IP stuff. I am guessing, for internet security, data only flows from the ISP to my router to update the temperature only when and if it is paged for by the Evohome Controller. In other words it is Polled rather than Pushed. Is there another router setup that allows bi-directional comms like this?

I get hourly updates to my phone from accuweather so it won't be long before you know.
The controller being on the internal network should be fine - it'll open any ports it needs but sometimes the vf router doesn't play ball. Hence me asking about another router.

I changed back my DNS servers to Vodafone default settings.
Then, to isolate the cause of this problem I connected the Evohome to a mobile phone with a Plusnet phone sim. Immediately "Outside 4C" appeared as it should. So it seems to be my VF router set up issue,
I have 2 photos which, to my limited knowledge, appear to show conflicting port issues. Perhaps you can advise if this is correct or if I should fiddle with the settings. like port numbers and how to find port numbers?

While we wait for the images see if you can ping the ip 152.194.73.22 and get a reply. If you need to forward ports they're 2445, 5561 and 5562.

The following is result from Ping test. Do you have any VF specific screen shots to help me forward those port numbers. I really fear screwing up my router and losing my phone connection as happened in the last few days.
C:\WINDOWS\system32>ping 152.194.73.22
Pinging 152.194.73.22 with 32 bytes of data:

@Midori47 That IPv4 address is not responding when I tried from outside of the Vodafone network.
On the downdetector site people are also commenting.

I passed all of this to Honeywell Support,
I am wondering if it related to Vodafone not having Static IP. Before February I was with Plusnet who automatically give Static IP free of charge. Evohome worked perfectly, until I switched ISP to VF.
But I kept my mobile phone on the Plusnet Sim. Perhaps that is why when I Honeywell Support asked me to connect/check Evohome issue with my Mobile as a hot spot (instead of VF Router), I got an "Outside 6C", Honeywell then said that test proves it's a Vodafone Issue !

Vodafone will give you a static ip free of charge. Do you have to register your ip or something to get access to the server. Perhaps a login on the server or via your account?
The actual number of reports on downdetector (thanks @Cynric) is relatively low, but the number of people still using this service and are aware of downdetector would be small anyway.
Other than the above this does seem to be a vodafone problem, maybe linked to a Geolocation database.
