Hi, 1st off the essentials package is for ppl who are on certain benefits.
The router you will receive will be the thg3000, as I've just received this model today.

@Debsy999 Right, it says 66max - 44min download, 9 to 15 upload, and right at the very bottom that FTTP (fibre) is not currently available.

The recent press release said all new users, except those taking Pro II, would get the Power Hub.
However no one has yet said they have one, perhaps you will be the first.
Get even better broadband with new Power Hub router and booster (vodafone.co.uk)

@Jayach Near the foot of that page it says the following; "New customers, joining Vodafone Broadband from today, on any standard plan will receive a Power Hub router.", which lead me to believe that the Essentials package still uses the THG3000 router as it is not a standard plan. Of course I could be wrong.

I think I will have to bite the bullet and register, will keep this topic updated

Or you could be right, with Vodafone, who can be sure?

Yes @Jayach that is the press release I saw.
But there is no way to phone anyone and check.
So thought I would ask on here

Thanks for that, when you have set it up, could you advise what the WiFi coverage is like.
Thanks for confirming

@Debsy999 Do remember that the WiFi coverage will also depend on the size and structure of your house, and any interference from neighbouring WiFi or things like baby monitors. For a standard "free" router it is not too bad.
