Switching from BT to Vodafone in a few days. One order acknowledgement says I will be receiving a "SOGEA Adapter", another says I will be receiving a "VOIP adapter".
Not sure what I'm supposed to do with this once it arrives. Is this related to Digital Voice, which I already have as part of my BT service?
At the moment I have an old DECT phone plugged into the BT router and this works fine as a replacement for the landline.
Is the SOGEA adapter another way of enabling digital voice?
Any advice greatly appreciated

The sogea adapter, often wrongly called a voip adapter by vodafone support, simply converts the tel1 or tel2 rj11 socket on the vodafone router to a bt socket for the phone.

Oh, that's interesting. So the idea is that you take your landline phone, plug it into the "SOGEA" adapter, and then plug the adapter into the router. Whereas at the moment I'm plugging the DECT phone directly into the BT router.
That seems straightforward enough. Thanks very much
