I have recently purchased a new phone Xiaomi A2 which was supposedly unlocked, I have also purchased a Vodafone Pay as you go Big Value Bundle Sim, When I've put the sim into the phone it just shows as no signal. The phone recognises that the sim is vodafone but cannot get any signal.

Hi @Bobhinchooc
The first thing to do is totry activating the SIM by dialling 17298. However, if the phone is showing Vodafone UK at the top, it should be connected to the network.
If you have just purchase a BVB, it will usually activate at midnight on the day it was added, if you have only just added the BVB, the bundle may not have started and you would need additional credit to make a call.

Hi @Bobhinchooc
The first step is to ascertain if the phone is actually unlocked or not @Bobhinchooc
Who supplied the phone ?
Who supplied the phone ?
To see if your Vodafone sim card is activated can you try it in another phone.
i.e a spare or friends phone etc.
