My payg sim card is installed in my home security system and not in a mobile. I have found a way to top up online but I cannot check my balance. I cannot keep removing it to install in a mobile as the system detects it as an intruder. Can I check my balance online?

I notice you asked this question way back 2014.
You certainly can't keep removing the SIM and placing in a phone.
The log in security code can be sent to any other phone, the next time you remove the SIM and place it in a phone log in to your online account change the contact number to your pay monthly number or a landline where you will be able to receive the code voice texted, you will then be able to log in and view your remaining credit/balance and top up your credit if needed.
