SIM swap (replacement SIM) using a SIM picked up in store?

Hi

Was wondering whether, instead of ordering a replacement SIM via Live Chat, it is actually possible to replace my existing PayG SIM with any random PayG picked up in a supermarket.

When going to https://myaccount.vodafone.co.uk/sim-management/activate-sim, all the form does is asking for the 10 digits long SIM number, there is no indication that it can't be just any Vodafone PayG SIM.

Hence the question.

Thanks

If you are wanting to keep the same number and online account @akaMaxP , the swap has be completed to a plain blank numberless SIM only available through Customer Services or from a store.

There would be nothing stopping you from picking up a PAYG SIM from a supermarket, but this will have a different number and would necessitate setting up a new online account for the number.

If you are trying to complete the swap through your online account to a supermarket SIM this will throw up errors.

Vodafone shop should do a SIM swap.  This is free of charge from what I understand.  Is there a problem with your current SIM Card?
