So I am currently living In The US. I have my iPhone with me on Vodafone.
It’s a PAYG. I can use the wifi , internet. Receive text, send text.
I’ve tried googling and can’t figure it out.
I’ve tried changing network. T-Mobile and sprint only come up and sprint just goes to no network. , 2G isn’t an option.
amy ideas

Just to clarify your using a Vodafone Uk Payg sim card @Pippin85 ?
Is the issue affecting all outgoing calls or specific calls ?
Does the issue affect incoming calls ?
It could be a specific local network issue.
You can contact Vodafone via Live Chat or the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries as there is no account access via this forum.
I wish you all the best with this.

It would be worth asking this question on the forum search facility @Pippin85 where you will find previous threads enquiring about US roaming.
There is further information here: US Roaming Changes
Make sure you have VoLTE 4G calling turned and try and connect to AT & T if possible, you will have problems connecting to other networks.
You will need a decent amount of credit for US roaming, the charges are here: Roaming Charges
Get yourself a SIM card for the US, you will get a connection and save a lot of money .

Thanks for the replies.
so AT&T isn’t an option on the list. Only sprint and T-Mobile.
I do have a US phone contract but I liked to keep my number for the UK - just in case I return for any reason. I’ve been here 5 years so it’s doubtful lol.
it receives incoming calls fine. Maybe I’ll just try adding some credit to see or move it to a different location.

Being out of the UK for 5 years is probably your reason @Pippin85 . No UK network will let you roam for ever.
If you return to the UK there is a Vodafone store in every large shopping centre and easy to get a new UK SIM.

Ohh ok. So my number still works and such. It just won’t let me call.
coukd I get a sim sent to my mom and her post it to me ?

If your Mom lives in the UK it's possible but you will still be roaming @Pippin85 , just make sure she activates, tops up the SIM and makes the first chargeable connection in the UK on the local network before sending you the SIM. Otherwise, just send the SIM you have to your Mom, probably as soon as it is topped up and connects to the UK network it may work for outgoing.
Unless the number is important to you, it's easy to obtain a new SIM each time you arrive in the UK. Saves the worry of having to keep the SIM active to avoid disconnection and needing a UK debit or credit card for adding credit online.
