Hi @Cheemag
You can use the SIM in any phone.
However, I would recommend moving your contacts over to the SIM storage from the old Doro, this should be possible from the contact settings, you should then be able to move the contacts to phone storage from the SIM. It should also be possible to Bluetooth the contracts to the new phone but not sure if the Doro has Bluetooth.
If the new phone has Android software, it is well worth synchronising with your gmail account, as soon as you set up a gmail account on your phone and sign in from the new phone, the contacts automatically transfer to the new phone.

Please also ensure the new phone is either locked to Vodafone Uk or open to all network's so it accepts your sim card.
And that your current sim card is the right size to fit in the new phone.
Some sim cards are multi sims where they push out of each other.
If not a Vodafone Highstreet Store can sim swap for you.
A sim card will only hold so many contact numbers and they won't store addresses or email contacts.
Gmail is good to store contacts to also @Cheemag
To add a smartphone has the potential to use more data allowance so it maybe worth checking that too.

Thanks both. What a dreadful forum to navigate ... !
I'll swap the contacts over to the SIM if I can.
I'll be better going to the V'phone shop for the transfer, I think.
I only use my Gmail account as a spam disposal area, and certainly would never let Google
anywhere near my contacts.
Thanks to both respondants. Beats the 30 minutes I spent trying to get an answer to a simple question from
Vodafone !
Regards
Jim
