Bill doubled after transferring ownership

I recently transferred ownership of my bill to myself as it was in my mums name due to me not being 18 at the time. I had access to the Vodafone app and I paid the bill but it just wasn’t in my name. Since doing this my bill has doubled. Does anyone know if this is normal or should I query it. I don’t know if because I already had the app and used the same email if it’s added a new bill to my existing one(in my mums name)

This sounds more like a pro rata charge to bring you in line with your billing date @mollywalshxo Your bill will itemise the dates you have been billed.

 

Your Mother would have transferred ownership of the airtime contract and number to you by completing this online form Transfer Agreement and you accepted the airtime contract into your name. If this was an Evo contract, this device part of the contract is separate and a credit agreement and would remain in your Mother's name until it was paid off.
