Blacklisting

I wonder if anyone can help? I’ve been trying to get my phone blacklsited and get some proof as I lost my phone and the insurance is requesting it. I’ve been going round in circle trying to get the proof for almost a month. At first I was told it was blacklisted  then it wasn’t and now apparently it defiantly is but when I request the proof from the website as I was told to I’m sent an email saying it isn’t blacklsited!

Hi @Hollyroden

I appreciate it's frustrating and inconvenient enough when a phone is lost or stolen so getting information like this from Vodafone needs to be seamless so the insurance company can be happy and you get what you need from your policy cover.

I assume you've used this form > How-do-I-get-proof-of-purchase.

And as long as the phone has been used on the network i.e calls etc Vodafone should have no issues blacklisting the phone as they'll have it's imei logged on their system.

I suspect the agents you've spoken to are not completing this properly.

I'd suggest to speak with the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Facebook Messenger or Twitter DM as they'll be able to help.

Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries and you can use > Complaints/Code-of-Practice.

As well as persevering with customer services on 191 and Live Chat.

You can also protect what was on the phone by remotely locking it yourself if you haven't already.

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is lost or stolen.

I wish you all the best.  :Smiling:
