My 24 month Galaxy s10 contract is coming to an end in a few days. I want to keep the phone and phone number. I saw a deal on the My Offers section but it is only letting me add it as a second plan.
Do I need to wait until the contract end date before I can upgrade to a SIM only plan? It is letting me upgrade to a new phone but I only want a new SIM. Any help is appreciated.

Log in to your online account and select Upgrades.
You will be given option of phone or SIM only option.
Select the SIM only and should display all the SIM only plans. Just select the one you want.
Having said that, If you call or use chat and speak to the Upgrade Team, they might give you additional discount.
Suggest you make a list of what you want, amount of data, entertainment yes or no etc.

I tried going to the upgrade section on the app and the website but it is only giving me the option to upgrade to a new phone, not SIM only. That's why I was wondering if maybe I had to wait until the contract is actually finished tomorrow?
