Cant activate youtube premium

'It looks like you have an active YouTube subscription.' message popping up. Cancelled my original subscription and it expired  16th of september, but message still keep popping up.

I am having exactly the same issue. Upgraded my plan in December everything working fine then two days ago  YouTube premium stopped working. When going into YT and checking it says I have an active premium subscription through Vodafone. Which was due to renew on 16th Jan. No idea why it was renewing. When I select manage it just takes me in a loop and tells me that I already have an active account. 

There is no option to cancel. I spent ages online trying to explain. They said that they had cancelled my entertainment pack and that I could register again, didn’t work, back in exactly the same loop. 

I was then told to ring 191. I don’t have the time to give half of my day trying to fix something that should be seamless.  My autistic son relies on YouTube and this is the reason we upgraded and chose this pack. So frustrating.

It's disappointing to hear about the issues which you've been having with YouTube Premium, as I do appreciate that this should be a straight-forward process for you. Please reach out to us on Social Media, so that we can access your account to investigate this further. 

All sounds eerily familiar (right down to the autistic son!).  I would seriously urge you to submit an online complaint - this was the only approach that eventually got my YT subscription back up and running after days and days of wasted effort with various support teams. Good luck!

I also have the same problem since 4 days ago.  How can Vodafone not have an answer to this problem after at least 3 months of complaints? 

I told them this would be a huge issue as now people's contracts are running out and this is a payment issue, let say you buy YouTube premium in full for 1 year with a cancelled card, YouTube wouldn't be able to renew the subscription and the end user wouldn't be able to clear it as they don't have access to the original payment method. This is the actual problem but they are refusing to listen and keep asking for the same info in a circle

Thanks. I spoke to CS again yesterday and they referred it to the back office. Wonder of wonders, I just tried again to activate it and it worked!!! I noticed that logging into YouTube yesterday, it no longer said that I had YouTube premium. I guess it needed a little time for this to percolate through the system to allow me to activate it.
