Hi
Got a samsung s22ultra trade in deal which states they must receive the phone in 14 days otherwise charges will go on. Its been 6 days now and still waiting for packaging. It passed the app test etc.
Can I just put it in my own packaging and hand it into the local vodafone store with all reference numbers etc printed on paper with it and in it or does it have to be their packaging?
Also, should I have got an email to say it passed the app test as I have nothing as proof that I am waiting for them to send the pre-addressed packaging out

Hi @Tnpmonkey, you can take the device to a Vodafone store and the team will send this off to be checked over at the warehouse. When you hand your phone over, you'll get paperwork from the store with a reference number on, you won't need to use your packaging, the store will do this for you. You can find your local store by entering your postcode here. If you haven't received a confirmation e-mail after you've completed the trade-in tool and would like to return your device by post, please drop us a message on Twitter or Facebook and we can arrange for a new bag to be sent out 🙂

Will they have to do the trade in test again etc or will they just give me a receipt for it? Thanks

If you're taking the device to a Vodafone store, you won't need to do the trade-in tool again. The store advisor will put a note on your Vodafone account with the details and you'll be given paperwork to say you've handed the device over. This paperwork will contain a reference number for the trade-in so we would recommend that you keep it safe.
