Hi, I’m swapping to a different phone tonight (iPhone to iPhone)…., have an eSIM and want to move it to my new phone.
is it simply select the ‘delete esim’ option from my existing phone before I wipe it and reset it and then I’ll receive an email with a fresh QR code?
could someone please confirm or guide me to what the simplest and risk free option is to move an existing esim to a new handset yourself. Thanks.

Never delete an eSIM from your phone until you have it working in a new phone
(well of course there are exceptions, like from companies that allow you to re-use the QR code, so you have to delete it first, but not with Vodafone.)

It did seem like a strange way to proceed but it’s documented in a few places online…..

Perhaps I’ll just start setting up the new phone and I’ll get the necessary prompt to transfer it…..I was just hoping someone might have done it in the last few days and know exactly what was required.

It might let you transfer it when setting it up, or go to MyVodafone, choose your phone and then Activate my eSIM.
